"The Softer SIde" - Photography by Stephanie Ollerton on Display January 24th 2020 - March 28th 2020
Stephanie Ollerton is a film and television producer and cinematographer who approaches photography with a documentary sensibility. Stephanie shoots on a Canon 5D mark iii using Rokinon Cine prime lenses which are normally used in video and film production.
"These are not traditional photography lenses but I use them because I like to adjust the focus and aperture rings by hand. Rokinon Cine lenses are known for their softness, which I like, but many (if not most) filmmakers do not. Thanks to these lenses I'm able to capture an often unexpected, softer side of subjects both literally and figuratively." - Stephanie Ollerton
The images in this collection were gathered in Topolnye, a Siberian village in Russia in July 2018. The trip was funded by The American Friends of Russian Folklore.
